Mihile Class… and Other Things.

So I’ve decided to run the blog on my own. You safely assumed this is Mike, so no worries there. I will change the site to reflect that, and from talking to my friends they agree, a blog is a blog, and is meant to be personal. I think we really missed some of that. Bear with me if I’m a bit slower to update everything. xD

I’ve decided to do important KMS updates as well now. I’m working on getting an account (should have one in a few weeks) but for now I will be drawing from various sources, hopefully presenting the information just as good, if not better.

Read on for more information on the new Mihile (the Cygnus Knight) class.

If you didn’t know already, the Cygnus knights are a class group in MapleStory. They honestly arn’t created because they are good classes, because they aren’t. They are created because once you get them to level 120 (their max level) you get lots of rewards.

Because they aren’t the greatest class, they have pretty good ending rewards. Characters in the same world as them will get a beginner passive attack buff, double that of an explorer of the same level. This would be pretty good, however there is more. Getting a Cygnus knight to 120 also allows you to create an ultimate adventurer, which I will not talk about here.

One of the most popular Cygnus knights is a dawn warrior. The dawn warrior character/job instructor is called Mikhail, or Mihile.

Nexon decided to make a class just called Mihile! This is very interesting, as it makes me wonder if they will make a class for all the Cygnus knights.

An advantage to this class would be that it can go to 200, making it real class, to be taken seriously. Other advantages would be that he still receives 10% bonus experience every time he levels up, like a Cygnus Knight. He even gets a class specific equip: the soul shield. They provide pretty good, free stats, and are given with each job advancement. They will level up alongside Mihile. He even has a link skill, which is increasingly common for Nexon.

Explanation:
We first add 1 point into Soul Blade because it’s your only active skill, and it’s a really good mobbing skill. We then max Soul Jump to make your training easier and much more fun with jumping! The skill we max after that, Soul Agility, is maxed for the same purpose, to increase your speed and jump. Next is Soul Shield to improve your shield’s abilities. Finally, we can max Soul Blade to improve its damage and simply make it a better skill.

Explanation:
We start off with 1 SP into Soul Driver and 1 into Shining Chase because those are your ownly active skills. We then put 5 SP into Sword Mastery so you can start putting points into Sword Booster. We leave it at 6, so your booster lasts for 6 seconds. For more STR/DEX, we quickly max Physical Training, and then for obvious reasons, we max Sword Mastery. Since Soul Driver is your main mobbing skill, that’s the next thing you’ll max. After that, since many of you may start PQ’ing (or, if you don’t, the ATT bonus is still very nice), you can max Rage. Since a 60-second booster is annoying, we’ll max Sword Booster so it lasts for a longer amount of time. Last skill we max is Final Attack, which increases your DPS/DPM at higher levels. We dump the rest of our skill points into Shining Chase, which is a pretty useless skill used only to push through monsters.

Explanation:
As always, we start off with putting 1 SP into all our active skills. The first thing we actually max, however, is Soul Charge. Soul Charge is useful because it increases your damage by a lot. Right after that, we max Intention because it’s a nice STR and attack speed bonus. Since Shining Buster is our main mobbing skill, it’s the next skill you’ll max. As you’re starting to fight bosses, maxing Soul Endure is useful to add Abnormal Status & Elemental Resistance. Soul Slash is great for bossing as well because, actually, it’s your only bossing skill for now. Maybe you didn’t notice, but every skill you got up to this point was a mobbing skill (even though Soul Slash is also a mobbing skill, technically, it’s still the only skill that you can use when fighting bosses). Last two skills that are useful for bossing are Soul Attack, which deals extra damage when a boss has an abnormal status, and Magic Crash, which can get rid of these abnormal status. We put the rest of our skill points into Self-Recovery so you can heal extra HP and MP every 4 seconds. We don’t max it because all the other skills are more important to max, and there isn’t much of a difference between it being at level 21 or 30.
